Village Hall

The Village Hall

The past few years have seen the successful establishment of a Welsh Learners’ Evening Course held in the Village Hall, Trawsfynydd, provided by Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. The classes are held every Monday evening from 7.00 p.m. until 9.00 p.m. and the class of 2000 is pictured above. This service plays an essential part in assisting non-Welsh speakers to integrate socially in the community.
If you are interested in enrolling, or interested in other courses that the College provides, please contact External Operations, Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, Ty’n y Coed Road, Dolgellau, on (01341) 422 245 or ymholiad@meirion-dwyfor.ac.uk

The floor area of the hall is approximately 200 sq. meters, with room for 335 chairs. The stage is comparatively large which is ideal for dramas and concerts. The stage is floodlit and benefits from a quality sound system which includes microphones and has a speaker linked to the cellar. The hall also boasts a multimedia projector with screen and video player. The kitchen has a convenient serving hatch to the hall.
The cellar
The floor area of the cellar is about 50 sq. meters, with room for 25 – 30 to sit. There are 12 round tables, and a kitchen which is similarly equipped to the hall one with the addition of a fridge.
